Copywriter (Brand & Verbal Identity)

About TinyWins

We started small. One client at a time. Feeling by feeling. Those early triumphs were the stepping stones that built our momentum.

As a remote-first team, we tackle brand strategy, verbal and visual identities, web design and development, and growth marketing. Every project starts with one question: how do we want people to feel?

The Role

Words are where a Big Feeling becomes real. As our Copywriter, you’ll turn brand strategy into language people can feel: the story a company tells, the voice it speaks in, the headlines that stop a scroll, and the website pages, scripts and messaging systems that carry it all.

You’ll write across engagements for clients from venture-backed startups to established firms, often in categories that are complex, technical or deeply personal. Some days you’ll make a hard technology sound human. Other days you’ll find the right word for something delicate. You’ll work beside our strategists, designers and developers, with a creative director or strategy lead guiding the work.

You write like a person, not a template. You listen first, you cut ruthlessly, and you can tell a client “no, this line is better” with warmth.

Responsibilities

  • Write brand narratives, manifestos and company stories grounded in the approved strategy.
  • Develop verbal identity: tone and voice principles, language behaviors, terminology and practical guardrails teams can actually use.
  • Craft headlines, taglines and signature statements that carry the brand’s point of view.
  • Build messaging frameworks: hierarchies, value propositions and proof points for different audiences (customers, partners, employees, recruits, and more).
  • Write website copy, including page content, calls to action and UX microcopy, in partnership with UX and UI designers.
  • Script brand films and other storytelling pieces, working closely with creative and motion teams.
  • Apply the new voice to real touchpoints (homepage, leadership communications, decks, campaigns), so the strategy has a clear path to use.
  • Contribute to campaign and creative briefs, such as anniversary or launch campaigns.
  • Translate complex or technical information into clear, credible language, working from interviews, research and client materials.
  • Take feedback well and revise within defined rounds of consolidated review.
  • Keep to project timelines and tell the project lead early about risks.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years writing for brands, ideally in an agency, studio or in-house creative team.
  • A portfolio with narrative, positioning, voice and web copy, plus at least one project where you shaped the language from strategy.
  • Strong craft: concrete, sharp, human writing with range across tones.
  • Comfort translating complex subjects, such as technology, healthcare, finance or science, into plain, emotional language.
  • Experience working from strategy documents, workshops and stakeholder interviews.
  • Ability to collaborate across strategy, design, UX and development, including writing within wireframes and Figma.
  • Good judgment with AI tools: you use them responsibly, never put client-confidential material into unapproved tools, and take responsibility for every line.
  • Organized and reliable, with the ability to juggle several projects and tight deadlines.
  • Nice to have: naming or brand architecture experience, scriptwriting or film and video storytelling, experience in regulated, technical or sensitive categories, experience with CMS-based content
